The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and The University of Western Australia (UWA) are offering a limited number of postgraduate research scholarships each year to high-achieving students from the People's Republic of China who intend to undertake a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at UWA.
UWA will provide a scholarship to cover tuition fees for selected students and the CSC will provide a living allowance as prescribed from time to time by the Chinese Government and return airfares to Australia.

On the Course tab, select the appropriate course and then click Enquire here to set up an account and complete your application.
16 February 2024: Deadline for prospective candidates to apply directly to UWA for admission. Applicants will need to complete an application on this system.
31 March 2024 (TBC): Deadline for prospective candidates to submit their CSC application directly to China Scholarship Council. There may be an earlier deadline for applications from certain Chinese universities.
UWA will provide the China Scholarship Council with a list of candidates to be considered for the scholarship program at UWA.
May - June 2024: The CSC will evaluate applications and provide UWA with a shortlist of scholarship recipients. It is expected applicants will be advised of the outcome of their applications by the CSC by 30 June 2024.
July 2024: Successful recipients will be expected to enrol and start their PhD study at UWA.
