Miss Jean Ethel Rogerson MBE, BSc, ARACI, Warden of Convocation for two periods totalling eight years and a member of the University Senate for 30 years, died on 25 December 1993 and by her will left 30 per cent of the residue of her estate to the University.

The Jean Rogerson Postgraduate Scholarship is awarded by the HDR Scholarships Committee to highly ranked domestic applicants in the annual domestic scholarship round. 

Eligible applicants will:

• Meet the requirements for entry to the nominated course.
• Intend to enrol as a full-time and on-campus student.
• Have a history of outstanding academic achievement.
