Higher Degree by Research Application Portal

Applications are invited from suitably qualified international applicants for Australian Government International Research Training Program Fee Offset Scholarship to undertake the degree of Master by Research or Doctorate by Research. 

Successful applicants can expect to become members of a research team working under the direction of senior researchers and in an area which has attracted resources.

These scholarships are funded by The University of Western Australia and cover international tuition fees for up to four years, as well as Overseas Student Health Cover for the awardee and dependents. 

Successful applicants may also be awarded a living allowance stipend scholarship, valued at AUD$35,000 per annum.

To apply for this scholarship an applicant must—

i) meet the requirements for entry to the nominated course;

ii) be a citizen of an overseas country, excluding New Zealand;

iii) meet the University’s English language competency requirements;

iv) not already be in receipt of an equivalent award or scholarship from the Australian Government designed to offset HDR fees;

v) intend to be enrolled as a full-time student at one of the University's campuses; and 

vi) meet eligibility criteria listed in the scholarship conditions.
