Description | The McNamara Family has established the Keiran McNamara World Heritage PhD Top Up Scholarship in honour of Keiran McNamara, former Director General of the Department of Environment and Conservation. The scholarship aims to further knowledge and expertise relevant to the conservation and management of the natural values of World Heritage areas in Western Australia by attracting the next generation of outstanding intellects to this state. The Keiran McNamara World Heritage PhD Top Up Scholarship is offered across all five Western Australian universities to outstanding students who wish to undertake high quality PhD research related to identifying, managing and conservation of World Heritage areas in Western Australia. The scholarship is offered as a 'top-up' scholarship and an operating allowance for research expenses, including research related travel.
