This top-up scholarship will be awarded to a domestic PhD candidate who is intending to conduct research in the area of agricultural plant breeding.

The recipient will have studied in or have a demonstrated passion for agriculture.

The recipient must be awarded a RTP or similar stipend scholarship.

Suitably qualified applicants must:

• meet the admission requirements of the PhD,
• be domestic, and
• have qualifications and/or background in the agricultural field.

Applicants must submit a statement demonstrating their interest in agriculture including how their research project is linked to plant breeding and how it will benefit Australian agriculture.
