TitleEnhancing Regional Nursing Education Experiences
CourseDoctor of Philosophy
Description

We invite applications for a PhD scholarship investigating the experiences of students accessing nursing education in regional settings. With increasing demand for locally trained nurses, understanding how students navigate and engage with their learning in regional contexts is essential.

This project will begin with a review to synthesise existing evidence on student experiences in regional health education. The candidate will then conduct a mixed-methods evaluation of the first-year experience of the end-to-end regional delivery of the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) program, focusing on three regional sites. Insights from this evaluation will inform strategies to optimise student support, enhance retention, and strengthen pathways to graduation.

This PhD offers the opportunity to generate impactful research that supports equity of access and high-quality learning for nursing students in regional Australia.
