TitleManaging weeds in an evolving climate
Description

Changing climates and seasonal variability have important impacts on weed management. Early investigations highlight that the changing climate does not necessarily make weed control more difficult – it just requires updates to the weed management system, depending on the competitive ability of various species. For example, spring and summer species may become more competitive. However, very little research has been conducted in this area and growers need to understand the interactions between weed population dynamics and environment within their own regions. This research will focus on modelling, as the most practical way to answer questions about weed ecological response in the short term.
