The late Vladimir Hlavacek and the late Betty Hlavacek have donated to the University to provide scholarships which recognise and encourage excellence in medical research.

This scholarship is available to assist eligible applicants undertake medical research in the field of biomedical science.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• Be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen.
• Studying/applying for a PhD
• Be awarded an RTP Stipend (or equivalent) scholarship.

This scholarship will be awarded: (i) to a recent UWA MD graduate who has graduated from the MD program within 3 years at the time of applying, (ii) to the highest ranked eligible applicant.

Applications can be submitted in the Domestic RTP Scholarship round, alongside an application for the RTP Stipend Scholarship.
